Capital Choice Consumer Credit
Might be ripped off

I received a brown envelope about a week ago from Capital Choice Consumer Credit in Miami, Florida. There was no phone number on the letter of invitation to receive a Platinum credit card in the amount of $5,000. I was suspicious from the beginning but did not make an intelligent choice. I forwarded the $43.00 requested for priority mailing. Two threee days later, I received a call at work letting me know that the response letter had been received. They then tried to sell me long distance phone service, which I refused. The lady on the line said that my credit card was in the mail and that I should receive it soon.
I decided to check this company out via internet and found out that this company is a fraud and that I have been ripped-off. I called my bank to stop payment on the check, but don't know at this point if I called in time. I will know tomorrow whether or not the check cleared my bank.
This had truly been an eye opener for me.
