I worked for household retail services for 3 years. All the complaints on here are infact true. I will reveal in this email some of the ripoffs household currently does.
When you fill out an application they either (a) use a former address listed on the application or use your credit report to pull up a former address and use that for your billing statements so you will get more fees.
They have differant promotion expire dates and cycle due dates so you will be charged all the back finance fees that have occured with your promotion.
I will also tell you a few secrets to getting around dealing with these people. If you dont want the collection calls you can either tell them you dont want the call recorded, at that point they can no longer talk to you about the account, even for outgoing calls or tell them you arent the cardholder but you are the owner of the phone and you dont wish to receive calls
To get fees removed. Household has a policy where you can request 1 late fee and 1 direct check fee removed a year, if the person you are speaking to doesnt waive it, ask for a supervisor and they will remove it
