Cardona Consulting
Inc. Work at home rip-off! They make their money from your orders - not customer orders

Business & Finance

You go to this company's website, or answer an advertisement for people interested in a home based business.in my case this was going to be a way for my daughter to pay her way through school.

They will send you an information package that touts how genuine they are, and that you can expect to start earning within 6 weeks of getting started because they are a legitamite business and NOT ANOTHER mailout scam.

You pick a level you want to work at and pay a fee (in my case $149.00) that they say will get you set up for tax purposes and activate your first mailing pack. What this means is they send you a pack of letters, envelopes and address labels to mail to. You fold the letter, put it in the envelope and attach the address label. Then at your own expense you mail it out (in my case $185 for 500 letters).

Their claim is that for each letter they receive back you will be paid $5.37 and for each response that turns into a sale (in this case it was for air purifiers) you will be paid a commission of $97.50 out of $300 purchase paid.

They strongly recommend ordering a package and mailing out every week to maximise your earing potential. They also state that you must order a package at least every 6 months or you will not remain on their payroll.

I made 2 orders and mailouts - my last one was done by Aug 21. It has cost me $700 to date to mailout 1,000 letters and I have had no paychecks some 3 months later. Cardona claims the mailings are sent to people who WANT this information. So either that is not true, or they are not writing paychecks.

I emailed them several times and here is the response I got:

"I can certainly respond but as with an business venture there is risk, in this case on your part as well as ours, but there has been no activity."

I FAIL TO SEE WHAT THEIR RISK IS? Take the time to read the material on their web-site to see how misleading their claims are, and don't get caught by them.

And I wounder what the IRS will think when I claim this as business expenses, perhaps then Cardona may be investigated and SHUT DOWN.

Do not get involved with this company - they will take your money and they use misleading material to do it.
