Design vs. Cost - Herbal Essence spray gel

Recently, I tried to buy Herbal Essence spray gel. Everywhere I looked, the spot on the shelf was empty. Checked online to see if it was discontinued. Relieved, it was in the process of a makeover. Found it in the store. Happy again, which soon turned to disappointment when I saw the new price to go along with the new design. Really??? The new design resulted in an increase of. 40 per bottle? AND with no increase in content? In this day of watching pennies, I found this to be quite a big increase. I know cost of doing business is inevitable to rise, but I have to wonder at the rate. Very disappointed at the packaging facade, and hope the product itself has not decreased in quality.
