If You Fall in Their Store, Dismissive Treatment

I have shopped at the Mall of America Sephora since they opened, I will not be going there again. Last July, I fell in the store. I slipped on some shiny cardboard that came off of a display. An accident report was filled out. The poor young manager was frantically looking for the form, and had to call HER boss, so I was left waiting quite a while with a bruised knee, getting more purple by the minute. They seriously need to get their accident/emergency plan off the shelf and re-examine it!
I was told a representitive from the chain's insurance, Allianz, would contact me. She did, (by email only) and I believe that my medical bill was paid by them (I have received no actual notice of this). However, beyond having to go to the doctor, I had to miss 2 half days of work, drive 40 miles round trip both days to get to the doctor. And I was in a lot of pain! But the letter from Sephora's insurer informed me that an "investigation was under way". Now I am told I need to 'prove my theory' that Sephora was 'negligent'. I don't want some big lawsuit, just paid for my missed work and driving. These are things I don't have 'receipts' for. Nor do I own the security camera that must have taped my fall. I can't prove much without Sephora's help.

And evidently they would rather lose a customer than do the right thing.
Sephora, I might get a different insurer if I were you. I will not shop at Sephora again after such treatment. You hire this firm, it is your responsibility to see that they do the right thing.
I am sure my friends on social media would find this treatment enlightening.
