Cat Sitter Left Home Wrecked and Sent Hostile Letter

We were recommended to her by our regular sitters when they got sick and we needed a replacement quickly. She recommended Gail.

At our first meeting two weeks earlier, held to evaluate compatibility (which she charged us for, by the way), we handed her our info sheet with detailed instructions on our seven cats. She immediately folded it in half and didn't read a word of it during our walkthrough. Instead of talking about our cats' needs, she talked about everything else and spoke badly of others, such as the behaviorist we hired and Jackson Galaxy, who she said stole her ideas. We were desperate for coverage for our two-week holiday and pushed all that aside.

During our holiday, she texted frequently with issues, some of which were answered on the info sheet. She pushed back on all our instructions and didn't listen; she knows it all. We tried to respond kindly and with understanding to her concerns and questions. Nothing was ever said to us directly, and then we got a letter in the mailbox along with our key. Please see the attached photo. Mind you, she was in our house for the meet-and-greet and had every opportunity to look around and ask questions. We don't hide anything. Our cameras are all in plain view.

Two weeks later we got home, and the place was an absolute wreck. She didn't pick up the dirty rugs, and there was throw-up everywhere. She did the absolute minimum. Disgusting for $60 a visit.

She is immature and defensive. She was happy enough to take all our money for cat sitting without taking care of our beloved cats. And to top off the entire experience, we received this letter in the mailbox, not by text or email and certainly not face-to-face. The audacity to speak to us in such pointed buzzwords. She probably wanted to provoke us, but we didn't take the bait.
