Tonya Miller of MySieraHomes.com is one of the worst human beings I have ever encountered in the 51 years that I have been alive for. She is a real estate agent who is in the business of ripping people off with bogus lease agreements and fake real estate listings. If you're interested in keeping a hold of your money, you better not give it to these people as they will most definitely ROB and SCAM you out of all of it!
I run a small business with my associates and we were looking at a property that we were very interested in moving to, the property was located by us on Tonya Miller's website MySierraHomes.com where several other listings such as Bishop Plaza in Bishop (Also known to have lots of scam victims) were listed as well. We got in touch with MySierraHomes.com (Eastern Sierra Realty) and Tonya Miller. We were informed that the property that we were looking for was available to be leased out to us.
Over the course of the next couple of weeks, we were shown the property and we were also informed of the amount we were supposed to pay to "book" the property. The amount was $19, 500 and it was to be paid directly to Eastern Sierra Realty. The advance amount would book the property for us and the lease agreement would be done at a later date.
Satisfied with the property and its' condition as well as the amount that we were being asked to pay for it, we decided to go ahead. We paid Eastern Sierra Realty the full amount that was requested of us and Tonya Miller gleefully accepted the cheque. We were informed that the lease agreement would be done by the end of the month and we would be required to pay the rest of the amount at the time of the deed taking place.
A day before the lease agreement was supposed to be done, we contacted Tonya Miller to ascertain whether the agreement was scheduled to go ahead as planned. Tonya's tone on this call was completely different from before she had received our money and she seemed like she was putting it off. Tonya Miller told us that the agreement would be delayed by a few weeks due to "unforeseen circumstances" with the taxes on the property etc. She still assured us that we would get the property soon.
We decided to wait it out but Tonya Miller and MySierraHomes.com increasingly became more and more distant. After a couple of weeks of putting things off, we were finally told that we were not going to get the property. Instantly, we demanded our money back. We were told by Tonya Miller that if we wanted the money back it would only be $8995 and not $19500 as the balance amount would be deducted for their services.
We were flabbergasted at this point. We really hadn't received any real "services" from Tonya Miller or MySierraHomes.com or Eastern Sierra Realty and there was no reason for them to be deducting over TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS from our advance deposit! We tried to reason with Tonya and the company but they did not budge. In fact, we started getting ignored and our emails and calls started going unanswered.
IS THIS THE KIND OF SCAM that you want running in your neighborhood? These people are incompetent FRAUDSTERS who have nothing better to do with their lives than to scam good, hardworking people like us out of thousands of dollars. I urge everyone to STAY AWAY FROM TONYA MILLER AND MYSIERRAHOMES.COM.
