I met Ludmila Buturlya w/f 23 Year old, DOB: June 29,1979, during a social held by European Connections in Kiev in March. I dated her while in Kiev and treated her to several meals and shopping while there. We became close and I ask her to marry me and we did a fiancee visa application while there. I bought her several expensive gifts while there and also a new cell phone as she stated that hers had been stolen. I also left her a large sum of casj money for her support and english lessons prior to my departure and return the the United States. She promised to stay in touch and write often.

After several days back in the US I didn't here from her and then she wrote to say that she had again had her cell phone stolen and needed another and that also the english lessons were going to more expensive that she had thought previously. I sent her a sizable sum of money via Western Union and never heard from her again. She told me this was her first time to attend a romance social and I found out later that she in fact had attended several in the past, treating other men in the same manner. I attempted to contact her many times without any answer until I threatened to report her to the authorities.

She responded very upset with explanations for her actions but with no excuse for her breaking off the relationship. I have reported her actions to the tour companies and she will no longer ne allowed to come to any future socials given by European Connections. It's obveious that this girl in living off the men she meets at the social in her country.
