After going to the D.R. And enjoying the resort we bought a club membership and were told we could upgrade to a villa anytime we wanted based on availability. We were also told that if we paid the upgrade we would get all the benefits of that membership for the week. (a golf cart to run around the resort, full bar in the villa etc..) We had a confirmed reservation for a 4 bedroom villa for 7 people. When we arrived we were told that there was no 4 bedroom only a 3 bedroom and that was all they ever gaurenteed. I had a copy of my email reservation confirmation. They asked me to see it and I never saw it again. I asked to speak to a manager and none would come. They put us in a 3 bedroom and I calmly but firmly voiced my displeasure. I taled to others at the resort and found that we were not the only ones this happened to and no one got the golf carts for fully stocked bars. I got a visit from customer service asking me to stop saying I was not satisfied. I asked to speak to a manager and was led to customer service, one lady told me she would see what she could do. They ended up placing 2 of our people in a suite on the other side of the resort. After emailing the company several times I got a response that perhaps I should consider selling my membership. I told them if they would refund my money I would gladly give up my weeks. They said, "we don't do that", and maybe I should just stay at another resort. I didnt want to stay at another resort, the setting, and food service folks have been great but customer service doesnt seem to care if they get positive reviews.
