Vel Network, Thomas Gomez (9999) ripoff, fraudulent, dishonest, lying, misrepresented services provided, opportunists praying on seniors, swindlers, deceptive presentation, coercive, refusal to honor their commitments

I am an 87 year old widow with an invalid daughter. Last summer another daughter and I went to the Surrey Vacation Resort in Branson, Mo. We had to listen to a 45 minute presentation in order to qualify for the package vacation from Grand Crowne that we had purchased. We listened to their presentation, but we did not buy.

We were told that we would be given $60 to complete a survey on the vacation and our experience with Grand Crowne. I sat in the lobby area while my daughter went to the presentation. The people in charge told my not to go in.

My daughter listened to the presentation, which was not a survey, but another sales presentation. She did not buy. She told them that I had bought some units in Cancun and that I regreted it and would like to sell these units.

At that time, I was invited in and I was told by Thomas Gomez (9999) that they would sell my property in Cancun for no charge and that I would receive my full investment back. He stated that this was just part of their service. I told him that I was not able to travel much, and that I was only interested in selling the Cancun units. Thomas Gomez understood that I was not interested in traveling, that I had an invalid daughter, and that my only interest was in getting the Cancun units sold so that I would get back my initial investment. Thomas Gomez repeatedly stated that this was part of their service when I joined their travel network, and that they would be able to sell the Cancun units easily and for the price I wanted without any charges being made to me.

Later I received a letter from Grand Crowne Travel Network stating that there was a $300 fee for selling the units in Cancun plus a 15% commission. Also they stated that they could not guarantee a selling price, and that the price usually had to be reduced. I have called them at least three times, and I have written to them. They refuse to honor the presentation that my daughter and I were given by Thomas Gomez. I joined their travel network based on Thomas Gomez's presentation of their services. Since they are not honoring the commitment that was made to me at the time of the sell, I want my $3,995 refunded to me. Grand Crowne refuses to refund my money.

I am contacting the Missouri attorney general and the Better Business Bureau of Branson.

Don't believe anything they tell you. Nothing is in writing. The presentation is oral with the use of a dry erase board. Grand Crowne is not honoring their agreement with me. I believed Thomas Gomez when he told me that this was part of their service and that they would sell my holdings in Cancun as he had stated—with no charge and that I would recieve my full investment back.
