I paid for 5 years for my magicjack and had to stop using it because I couldn’t hear much from my end. I went out and bought a new phone and now I have to resign in and it won’t accept it! I am deployed and purchased Magic Jack in the PX as a means to keep in touch with family and friends in the USA. Starting 04 July, I have been unable to call numerous phone numbers, (parents, church, dentist), at home, reportedly due to the lack of a “terminating carrier agreement”. The “terminating carrier”, Frontier, has been awesome to deal with but in the end, this must be something that Magic Jack must initiate. (Frontier has even filed a complaint with Magic Jack.) I’ve been on “Live Chat” numerous times and it is nothing more than a broken record, with them asking me to be patient and give them more time.
I ask “how long” but no attempt is ever made to answer that question. Then today, the “Live Chat” guy, “Marcus”, told me that such an agreement in some areas is cost prohibitive. If that’s the case, it didn’t stop Magic Jack from taking my money – then failing to provide the service.
