My son ordered two items on May 31. One of the items never arrived. The second did arrive, but we sent it back. We got confirmation that they received the return. They could not find records, but when we provided them they promised a refund. They did not issue a refund, but were always apologetic with some excuse when asked for one. I told them that I didn't want to file a complaint with the credit card agency, because I knew that any complaint would cost them $, but I would if they did not refund my money. More apologies, more excuses.
Delays between each email. Now we need to talk by phone. More delays, but we did that. Still no refund. The long and short of it is that because of what I can only see as their clever delays, I passed up the period of time when I could file a complaint with either Visa or Amex. Stupid me. They still said that they wanted to make things right and would send a check.
Guess what? No check. That last one was over a month ago. This seems to me to go beyond mere incompetence. I communicated with about everyone in the danged company, from the CEO on down. All apologies, no action. And I'm out $250.
