Kiwi came to clean our carpets. I picked them because they were supposed to be green... All their advertising states they are green. The night of the cleaning my family could not breath, eyes/noses were burning, throat was burning and there was an awful chemical smell. They "cleaned" the carpet with a bonnet... The carpet wasn't clean but we were certainly smelling and breathing the chemicals.
We had to move out of our house for a couple of weeks while they tried to get this chemical out of my house.
We had to rip out the carpet, seal the floors, get dehumidifiers and industrial stength hepa filters in there the house. My daughter's furniture was taken to an ozone room for several days. It was a NIGHTMARE!
Since we work from the house, we were unable to work for several months.
We had an air test done (at our expense) and the test came back that there are industrial strength cleaning chemicals still in the house. The chemical registers ABOVE THE EPA STANDARDS FOR LONG TERM EXPOSURE.
Now, Kiwi hired a lawyer to try to settle as they don't want to take responsibility for taking care of this problem. They owe us a lot... I just want the chemical out of the house!!! We can't even sell the house while it's like this and certainly can't move and pay rent/a mortgage to get away from the chemical.
