Ok. So where should i start... With kicking MYSELF IN THE A$ for not looking into this or any company i will be doing business with or take it out on the slums that call themselves your FRIENDS... Or your rep... At this company... Ok im done beating myself... Here's the story... Well like most of you guys that i read your stories... I found them on craigs list... I called, and of course, explained to them i wanted to get back into the security field and need to basically start over... I should have known better just by conversation to be leary... I have never spoke to anyone. On the phone. (who's supposed to be a professional).. Strike 1... That was more ghetto, than some of my hard core friends... And this is supposed to be a BUSINESS!!! I was told to come on in and they would take care of me... Just come with 80 dollars... Ok, im on my way... Get to the place sign in, ask for "my rep" guess what. Strike 2.. He's not there. Now this is the person who told ME. If i cant make it call as a courtesy, to let him know... So know i get SHUFFLED to another rep. (like i read some of you have) he's very cordial, neatly dressed... And seems like he's there for you... So i explain to him... I HAD A LICESNE back in obviously expired... He tells me OH. No problem, i got you... All you need to do is sit in on the 8hr annual... AND YOU'D BE GOOD!!! Cool im in!!! So i thought... Now after explaining to him all that about my licsense... He has me sit in on the class the following monday (strike 1.5. Lol... Now the class is supposed to start at 9.. And it's 10:30 when the instructor walks in looks a bit disshoveld the guy weighs about 90lbs soaked and wet. With a suit that would be for a big guy. 200 or better).. Great. I just got my 8HR ANNUAL!!! Now i sit for "placement" (on tuesday).. This is where i get told that if i dont have my licsense cuz it's expired more than 1 year i would need to APPLY AGAIN... YEP you read right APPLY AGAIN...$141.75.. Plus the fingerprinting fee...$35... Wow so much for taking care of me... Now i explain that i dont have the certificates (8,16) because they were lost in a fire... They said go to where i trained and they should have them... Or atleast give me a copy... Well i didnt get it, so i called albany... Sure enough they said they too wont send them (something new they dont do).. But gave me the dates of when i did them. Now i decided to pick the brain of ALBANY. So asked, do i need my 8hr ANNUAL... He said its good to look at. Because there was NO need for me to sit in on an annual... If i hadnt had my licsense since 2002... So. I called my rep and explained to him my situation... Strike 3... He sticks to his guns and says that i needed it (the albany guy doesnt know what he's talking about, mind you) in order for him to place me at a site... Well, that site that im PLACED at, the one i had to set up an interview for... I still havent heard from them. Now am i the only one who thinks placement. Is "here, im sending you, to abc security on monday... CUZ THATS WHERE YOU STARTING TO WORK!!!" they just read the papers for you and send you to where they think you would fit... So. Back to me needing the 8 hr. I need that paper like a whole in the head... So i tell him, that ALBANY advised me to the fact that i dont need it, and want my money back... Hey 80 is 80 especially with the economy the way it is... But still refuses to budge. Still stands by... You need the 8hr annual cert... Well folks, that was dec. 8th of 2009... I havent went yet in person to speak on this but i will on monday, the 14th... I'll keep you guys posted as to whats going on...
