I hired Trident Roofing to replace the roof on my home on October 10. I was promised that my cost would not be more than $1600 after insurance monies were submitted and was promised that the work would be completed in a timely fashion. Trident Roofing assured me that they would handle all insurance negotiations.
I called the company on October 30 and was promised that the work would start the following week. I called again on November 14 and was promised a new roof by Thanksgiving. I called again on December 12 and was told to be patient and they would try to get a crew out to my house before Christmas.
The roof was completed during the third week of January. This was more than three months after they promised to do the job.
After the roof was completed, the salesman came to my house and demanded money. I gave him a check for $11,000. He loaded unused roofing materials which I paid for into his truck and quickly drove away.
A short time later, I began receiving angry and threatening calls and voicemails demanding more money.
I wrote another check for $4,400 To Trident Roofing which was the total insurance payout for roof repair. They demanded another $2,263 and said that I should call my insurance company to ask for more money.
I was threatened with a lawsuit if I did not pay the balance in 5 days. The company owner also said that he would have his lawyer pursue charges of "insurance fraud" against me.
The owner Paul Willi, and salesmen Steve and Mike treated me in a very rude and unprofessional manner.
I would not recommend this Trident Roofing Company to anyone. I paid the balance and feel that I not given what I was promised.
