I too bought a Min Pin from Kristin Wiggins when she was in Kansas. She would not let us come to her home to get our puppy she made us meet her at the store about 15 mins from her home. She said she has too much going for us to come to her home.
We picked our puppy up at 7 weeks. We paid Kristin $300 to have his ears cropped. We were charged $750 for our puppy.
Our puppy had Kennel Cough when we picked him up. We brought him to the vet 2 days after getting him and our vet was shocked that a breeder would let him go since he was so sick.
We had to leave him at the vet for 5 days which ended up costing around $850 for the care, meds, x-rays and IVs that our poor new puppy had to have just to stay alive.
When we got him back the vet asked when were his ears were cropped because they looked like they were done at the kennel where we bought him. I told the vet that we paid the breeder $300 to bring him to her vet to have his ears cropped. Our vet said that the vets in the Kansas City/Baldwin City area only charge $75 to $125 to do ear cropping and it is done right.
Our puppy's ears were not cropped nice at all. Our vet said he would fix them when we bring him in to get neutered at 4 - 5 months. He also said that the puppy has a heart murmur and will need to be checked often to make sure it does not get any worse.
Our puppy at 7 weeks had a stage 2 heart murmur. The vet said he may be able to live a full life but we cant let him run and play too much because if his heart starts going to fast for a long time his little heart may stop and our poor baby would die. We are so upset about all this. We bought a puppy to be part of our family for many years to come.
We are an active family that is on the go all the time. Our current Min Pin that we have had the pleasure of living with for 6 years, loves to go everywhere with us and we wanted the new puppy to do the same thing. But since our vet has told us he cant be on the go we are having to stay home much more in order to spend time with him.
It is so sad to see a puppy cry because he wants to be outside running around and playing. It is so hard for us not to let him. He is a wonderful puppy, He has a wonderful personality and we love him so much.
We have had him 3 months now and we brought him to our vet to attempt to have him neutered and our vet has told us that our puppy "Sampson" is not strong enough to be neutered. His heart murmur is now a stage 4 and he cant be neutered because it may kill him. We have also been told that he will not live much longer.
Our vet said we will be lucky if he lives until his 1st birthday. We are so sad to hear this. We love this puppy so much and now we have to find a way to tell our 2 kids that Sampson is dying.
I don't even know how to do this as my kids are 5 and 8 years old and they love animals so much. Our kids have never lost a pet or even anyone in our family. This breaks my heart so much. All we wanted is a wonderful family pet.
Parents are supposed to keep their kids from being sad, feeling pain and now we have to tell them this poor puppy that we have only had for a few months is going to die.
I am understandably angry with Kristin Wiggins and K-Lynn's Min Pins for not having our puppy checked by a vet before sending him to live with us. I am glad we did have a few months to love Sampson but I wish my kids did not have to go through this pain.
We tried to contact K-Lynn's about our puppy but all she said is he was fine when he was here. I mailed her the vet paperwork that said he was so sick and had a heart murmur when we got him and we never got a response from her.
My wife and I decided to Google the breeder (Kristin Wiggins and K-Lunns Min Pins) and found that there are other people that she has done this too before. She gets your money and you get a sick puppy. She breeds for the money not the welfare of the puppies.
She only cared about the money we paid for him. She would not take our calls after she knew our puppy was so sick. I sent her one last email to show her the vet report that our puppy was dying from something that is because of her breedings and I never got anything back from her.
I am glad I was so angry when I found out that our Sampson was dying because I would of never found this site and other sites so that other people can see what happened to us and our experience with Kristin Wiggins and K-Lynn's Min Pins.
I would never recommend her to anyone she will break you families heart! There is no excuse for this! These poor puppies are the ones that will hurt the most!!
