We purchased an extended contract from them when we bought our Nordictrack treadmill at Sears. Two years later (December) we called to have the treadmill tuned up. They sent a local company to do the work. After that, the treadmill, which was working, would not work; the belt stopped after about 10 minutes. The company came out again, 2 weeks later, and attempted to fix the problem, but the problem remained. The local company then said the treadmill was unfixable, and they would recommend to UTS to send a new treadmill. After no action, I called UTS and they said that they were sending another company to fix the existing treadmill. I have not been contacted by any other company, and the hold time while calling UTS has exceeded 45 minutes.
This service contract is worthless. It cost $185. The treadmill was working (just needed tuning up), and now it is not. UTS has been unresponsive to fixing this problem. I had heart surgery this past year and depend on the treadmill for walking 3 miles per day, and it has been out of commission for 5 weeks. This company is a ripoff.
