This Denver based commercial general contractor continues to bid and win jobs, contract with subcontractors and then refuses to pay the subcontractors for work completed. This practice has placed a number of subcontractors in a tough financial position because of Orr Construction's no payment policy.
A number of us have been burned by this general contractor in the Denver, Colorado area. This company has been paid by the project owner and still refuses to pay the subcontractors.
Many of the subcontractors have filed mechanic liens on the owner (s) and Orr Construction, but so far no one has been paid for work completed in 2007. Some of the subcontractors have threatened to sue Orr Construction to collect the funds, but that has not happened as of January.
If you are a subcontractor looking for commercial work in the Denver area, stay away from Orr Construction. If you are a supplier, be careful, you may not be paid for materials or products by this general contractor.
