Arthur Fletcher use to run Burlington Group Construction Company. He got into serval issues that caused him to close the company. At this time he owed us over $48,000 in services we had provided his company. He offered to work it off and DID successfully complete about $8000 of renovations. He was to redo a failing kitchen that was to run around $41,000. He came to the house and went over the plans and sent the people to pick out cabinets. Art NEVER PAID the downpayment to have the cabinets ordered. He dodged phone calls for months. When finally reached he stated he had opened Arguello Environmental under his old secretary's name since he cannot hold a company like this in NJ. He stated he knew he owed the money and would meet us with a contractor. After many appointments he failed to meet us he then stated he would give us a check.in August he wrote out two checks for $20000. The checks bounced as he had closed the account. He then stated he would give us a cashiers check and again set up over 20 meetings he never kept. He has now changed his cell phone number (908 448 6651) and does not respond to calls to the office, (908 431-3000).
We are not the only ones owed money. After sitting in a Lowe's parking lot in Hillsbourgh NJ I had people stop and tell me they too were owned thousands of dollars by Art Fletcher—some as much as $83,000.00! In the last month I heard that the Hillsbourgh Township have filed against fines owed by Burlington Group that amount to way way more than that!
First Construction fraud and now demolition fraud. Beware of this man, he reneges on business deals.
