About three weeks ago my daughter, sister and I walked into TJ Maxx to find items to decorate my daughter's apartment. I decided to separate from them to go look for a pair of shoes on the TJ Maxx side. I began to browse through the racks of clothes first when I notice one associate hanging blouses on one of the racks. I didn't think anything of it and continued searching through the racks. Since I didn't have any luck finding something I liked, I decided to go look through the shoes when I noticed a swarm of associates around me. I hadn't even had a chance to look and I was right in the open so why were they positioned around me? Following me every step of the way racially profiling me. I was so angry and decided not to spend a dime of my money after being treated that way. It's as if they want you to steal something just to have the satisfaction of seeing a black person arrested.!!! My sister told me to take the high road don't worry about it.
Well I'm tired of taking the "high road" while they violate my civil rights. They lost a customer for life I would never spend a dime at any store associated with TJ Maxx, Ever!!! Racial profiling needs to stop! Those of us that have been targeted merely for being non-white need to band together until it's abolished for good.
