St. Petersburg Times Newspaper
Slander & Fraud

In 2001 I lived in Largo, Florida and had Nuisance Neighbors, who according to local Police Reports were under surveillance for what appeared to be a Substance Abuse Problem. I applied for a Restraint Order, so the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper, currently called the Tampa Bay Times, wrote an inaccurate article about the situation to sell newspapers, and refused to print a retraction, slandering me in the process. The reporter did not use a Tape Recorder to begin with, just took notes, getting the pronunciation of my name wrong, among numerous other things! The article left out the fact the Judge ruled the Case to be Harassment, therefore Civil in nature, not Criminal, so had to be heard in a different Court, and part of the Court Transcript. That misinformation caused me to get raped, resulting in additional cases. Being disabled to begin with, I did not have the money to sue the newspaper, and unfortunately a lot of people believe whatever they read, causing more problems. People need to depend on black and white proof, not hearsay verbally or in writing, as it destroys people's lives, like this newspaper did to me, just to make a buck!
