In my wife’s and my opinion John Cordogan is the most dishonest and unethical architect we have ever met, in Chicago or the entire US.in addition, in our and another respected General Contractor’s opinion, John failed to provide a set of Construction Documents that a General Contractor could build from as required and executed in the AIA contract. John further didn’t manage the Architectural Process according to the terms of the AIA contract, in ours and many others opinion, and therefore our house was not built according to Plans and Specifications agreed to for our $4M luxury home in Chicago IL.
In the opinion of High Quality, Licensed, Luxury Home General Contractor, he declared under oath, the estimated costs, to repair and fix the shoddy work. Failure to provide detailed Construction Plans and a lack of on site supervision was in excess of $400,000. At one point the General Contractor notified us and stated that “Since he couldn’t get John Cordogan to show up at the job site, he was going to get the Architectural details, for our house, from previous projects on John's website.” Wow! Finally in my wife’s and my opinion, anyone considering John Cordogan, may want to view the claims we have made and our devastating experience with him! We are exercising our civic duty to warn others from having the experience we had.in our opinion, John is the most unethical and dishonest architect we have met.
