I am a two time user of PODS, and it was such a great fit for us on both occasions. We first used it to store my mothers furniture when she left her home of 50 years for assisted living. You can imagine the volume of "stuff", and we had no room in our home to store everything. The PODS unit gave us the chance to take our time to place the items where they were needed most, both within the family and the community. The unit fit easily in our driveway, was very well built and convenient for access.
For those same reasons we used a POD again when we needed to clean out our attic, after 20 years of storage, and do needed updates in our insulation system. We decided it was time to have our first yard sale ever, and it worked out beautifully. The pod was just outside our door, allowing transfer of items to go quickly, and to do sorting for the yard sale at the same time. You know the cost of the unit is very low, especially compared to an on site rental unit, and it is just a few steps away. When it came time for the sale, we already had our own "salesshop" to display some of the clothing items for sale, and weather was a non factor with the storage area right next to us. Set up was done very quickly, and the sale was a huge success. Whatever items were left were quickly stored away, and were easily accessible when Goodwill and AMVETS came for our donations. PODs is just such a great fit no matter what your storage needs are, either long term or just a few weeks.
