LANDLORDS BEWARE:
Anyone owning a rental property in Northern VA, manassas, gainesville, nokesville, haymarket and surrounding areas please beware of renting to AMANDA S. Bruce, aka, amanda shokase. She will not pay rent, utilities or anything else that is owed. She has had so many unlawful detainers against her that she knows the law and will use it to her advantage. It will take you a long time to get her out. She will lie, cheat and steal to get what she wants. She will have more hard luck stories than carter has liver pills. They are all make up stories to stay in your home longer. Believe me I know I just lived though the nightmare. It took me 3 months to get her out, but shes finally gone.
I thought I was over this nightmare but found out that she never paid utilities and that I am responsible for her water bill for four months, to the tune of 252.00 dollars. Its bad enough I had to provide her with a free place to live, but now I have to pay for her water also. That was a slap in the face.
This woman has cost me so much financial hardship. First not paying the rent, me paying for her condo fee, so she could have trash pick-up, clubhouse, swimming pool, exercise room and many other things to make her life easier, paying for an attorney, paying filing fees, locksmith and the list goes on and on. As i said she is finally out of my home, good news for me, bad news for other landlords. She will be looking for her next victim, please don't be it. BEWARE, do not rent to AMANDA BRUCE, it will not be pleasant. It will be a nightmare, a very long nightmare.
My hope is that i can enlighten someone else so this does not happen to them.
