Was looking to buy a gift for my Grandson for his birthday. Knew what I wanted to buy so thought I would check out Walmart's web site. Item was listed for $38.88... I went to Walmart the following morning.
Found the item but it was selling for $59.96... I could not believe it and went to the customer service desk. Told her what I had discovered. Was told that they do not honor the website prices... That every WalMart was different with different prices.
I just think that this is wrong... What with all their advertising and slashing prices, only to discover that you will pay what they think you can afford! I work very long hours and could not afford to do this myself but it would be interesting for someone to take a few items and research what a WalMart in a distressed area would charge compared to a WalMart in an affluent area!
In Contrast... I checked out Toys R Us website for same item and low and behold, could get item at store for same price! Guess who got my business? I did pay a little more but I appreciated the honesty!
