Like a lot of people that have file complaints, we also were sold a Great Dane puppy from Rick at B&B Ranch. It was very sick with Parvo and Coccidia. We also have $2500 worth of vet bills. I only wish I had searched this website first for him! We got our puppy on Oct. 20th. We drove to Tulsa to pick her up. Rick told us to meet him at a rundown gas station. He did not invite us onto his "ranch". Then, he called us and told us his wife, Christy, would meet us near the airport at a Walmart. When she arrived, she had no interest in us. It was a big sign to us that maybe these people weren't really interested in the puppies. She couldn't even tell us when the puppy was born! She knew nothing about this puppy when we asked questions and it was obvious she just wanted to leave... Which she did. This puppy would hardly move when we put it down. She had not puppiness in her. Regardless, we paid the $695 and left. Of course, the registration papers would be mailed to us once we provided the vet paperwork that the puppy was healthy. Of course we never received those either. Rick seemed very concerned when we first told him the puppy was sick. But, then when we got the vet's proof that it was Parvo, he said "he would say a prayer for us"! We demaneded our money back. Of course he said he coudn't do that. We begged him not to ship any more of these puppies and to take all his remaining animals to a vet immediately.instead, he shipped one that same day to a family in CA, who I have spoke with. Same story. Their dog had Parvo. Besides the fax we sent after the puppy had been to the vet (per his request) we have not heard from him. He did tell us that "Bill" in Australia owned the Ranch and that he just worked on it for 12 years. So he said that Bill technically owned the Great Dane parents. At another time, he claimed that he and his wife owned the parents and that his sister and relatives owned Great Danes too and they just bred between eachother. And still another time he claimed he didn't work on the Ranch, rather he owned a real estate company and had many appointments throughout the day (which was his excuse as to why he couldn't meet us and his wife did). He tried referring us to this "Bill" if we wanted our money back and would only give us an email address. We did not contact Bill. I had asked him who wrote up the contract we signed (which has no names, addresses, or dates on it and isn't even complete. It ends in the middle of a sentence!) and he said "Dean" his lawyer. Again, no last name or details.
