Hi i took my car to chrysler because my check engine light kept on turning on, the mechanic said it was some part which i change cost over $1,000 repair. Car is not drven at all only to warm up around area bbecause i live in nyc and car is in fla. Came back to fl in december
drove car around and light engine still showed as check engine light, so we park in a mall parking because being from out of town we didnt want to be stranded. We took car to a sears auto shop at mall and mechanic put car through machine and gave me some codes that stated what the problem could be. The mechanic at sears said it would not leave us stranded to take it back to chrysler so we did the next day. There we explained what happened previously and that the problem was not fixed after paying money for what we thought was fixed. When the sales manager came and we told him that we had taken car to sears for check up and showed him papers of what the mechanic there said he said he would tell mechanic to put it through machine finally when we went to pick up car he said car problem was going to cost over 2,000 and that we should consider trading it in. Since i had to take a flight back to ny i could not deal with issue at that moment. I finally got someone to take car to another chrysler mechanic which i found online not to far from the chrysler i had issue with. Mechanic fix issue which was totally different from what chrysler said ontop of that he said parts that he change did not need to be changed. So either mechanics at chrysler don't know what they are doing or they are just ripping customer of money. I have all receipts and proof.
