Consumer Report

On 2.18.2013 i won an online auction for a 2010 honda accord exl coupe. Later that day i received a call to up my bid if i really wanted the car so i agreed to up my bid from $8400 to $10,500 and then again i was asked to raise the bid to $12,500 so i did but then i insisted that i would not go higher than that. I received am email advising me that i won the car and was given instructions on how to pay for the car. The email advised that if i did not pay within 24 hours i would lose the car. So on 2.19.2013 i called salvageworld.net before depositing the money. They advised me that everything with the deal was fine so at 11:15am i deposited $13,273 into their wells fargo account. After depositing the funds i called to confirm that they had my money and they said yes so i believed everything was fine. Then two days later i called them to ask when the car would be shipped, (no one from salvageworld.net had contacted me or emailed me) jose, the manager, advised me that i did not get the car because my bid was rejected because of the shipping price. He then told me that i need not be upset "because i wasn't buying a ferrari or a mabaruch." on 3.1. almost 2 weeks from depositing a lot of money, my wife and i spoke with jose once again on regards to the details about what happened with the honda. During the call he promised to give me premium membership to the website and $200 off the next car of my choice. We also asked what the process is in the case that we would like a refund. He gave me the instructions and advised me that he would send me emails with new cars to look through. I received 1 email that had 1 car which was not what i was looking for (water flood with a salvaged title) i emailed him with a car that i was interested in (acura tsx 2010) on 3.4. jose advised me that i would need $12,000 to bid but to be on the safe side i should bid $12,500 so i agreed. Jose advised me that i would hear back from him by the end of the day. I never heard back from him so i called back before 5pm and they advised me call back before close at 6:30pm. My wife called twice and got no answer. Jose called her back on 3.4.2013 at about 615pm advising her that i did not win the car because the bid went for $18,500. I then decided to request a refund. On 3.5.2013 i requested a refund from their website and later received an email advising mw that my refund was processed and should receive my money back in 5 days. I called on 3.6.2013 and spoke to mike in sales who advised me that he was able to see that my refund was processed on 3.5.2013 in the amount of $13,273. He also advised me that all refunds are sent out every friday and should take 5-7 days. I understood and waited until 3.14.2013. I did not receive any emails or check in the mail so i called on 3.14.2013 to ask about my refund. I had to call more than 5 times to finally speak to someone. I asked to speak to a manager. I was transferred to alex who listened to me for about 1 minute and then hung up on me. I kept trying to call back but no one answered. Finally at about 12:30pm, my wife spoke to luis who is the account manager who advised her that he is the one who issues the checks and my account was not on the list. She advised him that we waited over the 5 days that advised to us from the email. He promised that he will answer our calls and he also promised to get us all our money back. My wife advised that she will call back everyday if she needs to in order to get this resolved. I called back later and spoke to alex, the manager, who advised me to look for another car. I told him that i did not want to get a car from them and he got upset with me and advised that i will not get my money back and then he hung up. I then called back and spoke to jose, another manager, who hung up on me again. These people are playing around with a lot of my time and money. All i want is my money back.
