I am currently going through a divorce in which my son was ripped from his home and placed with my batterer, and my contact is limited to limiting phone calls and costly supervised visitations. I have been in my son’s life since the day he was born up until recently where the GAL ripped my son from his home.
I hold a degree, I am a Veteran of the US Army, I am mentally fit, I am not an addict in any way shape or form, I have never abused my son in any way, I am a recovering victim of domestic violence and a current victim of a biased GAL.
In no way do I believe a child should ever be taken away from any of their parents, less there are extreme circumstances where it is truly in the best interest of the child at that time.
As far as my case is concerned, as the residential custodial parent I only wanted to expand my geographical location where I can live anywhere in the state that is 3 hours or less from the other parent.
In my case, several recent events have taken place for me to request this change such as several break-ins, as well as sexual assaults, which the GAL has inserted herself in these criminal cases to defend the other party and has done everything in her power to discredit myself and take my son completely away. She has falsified test results, twisted witness statements, disregarded records that would discredit my ex completely from her investigations such as police reports and felonies as well as other injustices. Where not only am I suffering from my sons absence, but my son the one person whose interest should be at the forefront of the case is being completely disregarded and ignored.
