A couple of friends and I are attempting to get an online business off the ground. Against our better judgement, we took to Craigslist to commission an artist to design a mascot and logo for our website. Andrew contacted us, confident he could deliver and gave us a very agreeable quote. After a brief E-mail exchange to set our expectations, Andrew went to work and the next day delivered an illustration that was not at all what we discussed.
Confused, I ran a few searches for his name and came across several consumer complaints. Presumably, Andrew's next move would be to hear our changes to his work that was not at all to our liking and ask for initial payment before proceeding with those revisions. Thanks to complaint, he would never get that far; I immediately replied and politely informed Andrew that we'd be seeking other artists.
We sincerely thank resources like complaint for saving us money and time. No transactions occurred.
Our company will be retaining Andrew's E-mail correspondence with me should anyone require this for class-action procedures.
