Mike Smith Wordpress Developer from Knoxville, TN doing business as Guerrilla (madebyguerrilla.com) and Blog Theme Machine (blogthememachine.com) took deposits for digital work and then stopped communicating with customers.
Mike found a project listing that we had posted on Craigslist and was very prompt to explain the amount of time and rates that he could provide services for, and then as soon as a deposit was filled, he went dark.
He specifically scams people for $400, which makes sense because larger deposits would increase the penalty by law if he was ever caught ripping people off. He even made up a story in an email about having to go to a funeral to buy time on not working on a project before the deposit cleared.
Don't work with Made by Guerrilla (http://www.madebyguerrilla.com) or Blog Theme Machine as they are scams.
