Fridgidaire Front Load Washing Machine
Switched items

My wife and I leased a preleased Fridgidaire Front Load Washing Machine and Dryer from Aaron's at the beginning of May. Both pieces of equipment looked in new condition. When we had used the washing machine for over a month we had noticed that the washing machine was leaking water in the front, at the bottom right corner the door was a little bent, and the door lock wasn't working correctly. We contacted Aaron's and they sent out one of their reps who looked at the machine and said that they will need to replace the door. A week and half went by and I had to call Aaron's again. They said they would sent out a repair tech to look at the unit. The guy came out and did some test on the machine and said the washing machine needed a new door, and that the code that was showing up on the machine had to do with the lock control and that would need replaced. He left and another week went by and I had to call Aaron's again. They said they would come out and pick up the machine, and bring a loaner. They also said that it would take a week to repair. I waited the week and they called me on a Friday and said my machine was ready. The employees showed up and loaded up the loaner machine. Then they pulled a washing machine from the truck. The top of this unit was completely scratched up, so I immediately knew this was not my machine. I then opened the detergent drawer and it had some severe black mold in it. I then opened up the front of the washing machine and the water seal ring was completely covered with black mold. I told the employee this was not my machine that my machine was in almost new condition when I got it. He loaded up the machine and said they would go get my machine. 30 minutes had gone by and the store is less than 5 minutes away. Sale Associate Josh answered the phone and said that they would not be bringing a different machine to my house and that the delivery guys had gone to do another job. He also said that he had checked the serial numbers and that it was my machine. I kept stating that it was not my machine. He said I would have to come see the manager in the morning. I immediately went up to the store and the employees that he said had gone on another job were standing in the store. I asked the employee who's name is Joey, he initially came to my house to look at the machine. I asked him why he didn't inform the sales associate of the condition of my washer that he had examined when he first came out and looked at it. That this machine wasn't even close to the condition of my machine. Josh stated that I needed to come in the morning and talk to the store manager. I did show up at the store at 10:15 am. I made a payment on the machine, and then asked that we speak in private about the matter. We went into an office and I spoke with the manager. I informed him that I had already purchased a king size mattress, PS3,65" DLP Television, and a mini laptop from them and was currently purchasing the washing machine and dryer from them. He said "it is your machine!" The serial numbers match and it is your unit. I said you know that I'm a good customer and why are you trying to give me a machine that is in horrible condition. He said you are on a 6 month lease and it is your machine. He said I'm done with this issue. I said well if that is my machine then under the agreement you must replace the seal that has black mold and remove the other mold in the detergent compartment. I then asked him to look at the machine they tried to bring me so I could take pictures of the unit. He said it's back there. I then informed him to escort me back to the machine because I'm not just going to walk in the back service area. I took the pictures of the unit, and looked over in the corner and say my machine pressed up against the wall with the front towards the wall. I took a picture of my washing machine. It has not even been sent out for repair. I came out and informed the Store manager that my machine was in a corner to come look. He said "I'm done with this, that machine we brought you is your machine!" I cursed a few times because I was severely disturbed about this situation and was asked to leave the store. I was leaving and the manager was in my proximity and I asked him to get away from me. He said that I'm just going to make sure you leave. I then again told him to get away from me. I left and had said a few more curse words towards him. I then informed him that i would see him in small claims court and he would be receiving a certified letter of my intent to sue. I will be mailing that on Monday 7/11.
