Maytag front load washing machine, 4000 series model mhwe450ww01- Maytag has a BIG problem with these units and does not care. I purchase mine in Feb. 2011 and within the first year had the drum and bearing replaced twice under Maytag Warranty and now 2014 the problem is back. The good news is that I purchased a service contract and they will fix the problem if I can get them to come and check it out. I called Maytag and emailed but they called me back and basically said that they didn't care call Warranty company.
So three week into the laundary mat doing clothes for 9 people in the family I could have bought a new machine. This Maytag was purchased from Home Depot and they are the only people that care. The employee and Store manager were super friendly and they called the warranty company trying to speed up service to no avail. But Home Depot customer service Ok'd using another Replair Service other than A&E that did care about their customer service time. Bottom line Maytag should be made to recall and replace these machines after I researched on the internet there are many pissed off people that would stand behind legal action againist Maytag!!!
