Technicians attach a vacuum to one duct in the house. They first vacuum each register and then blow air into the duct. This is supposed to loosen the dust and allow it to pass through the ductwork to the register with the vacuum. Since all of the registers in the house are open, there is very little vacuum in the duct being cleaned and most of the dust and debris ends up in the large plenum that connects all of the ducts. It is a poor implementation. One tech occupies you trying to sell additional services and products while the other does a cursory job of cleaning, not even removing all of the grills. I also had them clean the cold air return (additional $85) using a rotating brush driven by an electric drill. Again, they did an incomplete job, not even getting half way through the return past the first bend. I'm sorry I did not do my homework as my experience is almost identical to another complaint reported on this website. The job was definitely not worth $184 and I would strongly recommend not using this service.
