The Brinkmann Corporation sells Charmglow Barbeque grills through Home Depot. The one I got (Model 7310-S) was warranted for 5 years and was supposed to have stainless steel burners. After less than 18 months, one of my burners rusted and cracked. Stainless steel doesn't rust. Product misrepresented. No big deal, I thought. I'll just go to Home Depot and buy another burner tube. Woops. Home Depot does not carry spare parts—not any spare parts—for Charmglow grills. No big deal, I thought. I'll just contact Brinkmann and get a free replacement burner tube under the terms of the warranty. So I called their number. And I waited for more than a total of 4 hours in 3 calls. There is no human there. Try it yourself. 1-800-527-0717. So I found their website online. Hooray! It had an automated system to fulfill my warranty needs. I had but to enter the serial number of my grill. I did, but the system said it had no record of a warranty for my grill. I ended up ordering the parts through their online system, and paying for them with my credit card. It's been 4 days now—hope I see my parts soon.
If you are thinking of buying a Charmglow Grill. Think about how the warranty is going to be honored, and where you can get spares.
