On June 3rd someone from Lovette Roofing came out to "fix" a leak in our roof. They were here for a few hours said that that should do it and charged us $725.00. The employee of Lovette Roofing gave us a contract receipt that stated "All work is guaranteed for (1) one year". Well, a few weeks later a heavy rainstorm popped up and the roof still leaked. The leak that was supposed to fixed wasn't, not to mention there were now additional leaks from the work that Lovette Roofing had done. My partner contacted Lovette Roofing and told them that the roof was still leaking. Harry Lovette told him to call back in 20 minutes and he would tell us when he could get someone out.
Well, 20 minutes passed and my partner called him back - only to get voicemail. My partner left a message, but never received a call back. About 2 weeks later, I called Lovette Roofing to get someone over to the house -Harry Lovette conferenced me in with one of his workers and I heard him tell the worker to come to the house around 1:00 that afternoon. Well, at 1:30 I called Harry Lovette back and he said that his guy was tied up but would be at the house no later than 4:00pm. Well, 4:00 came and went and no Lovette Roofing - I called them back and guess what: voicemail. I left a message, again no call back. The next few weekends were really booked up for us, so I didn't push the issue. Well, this past Wednesday, I called Lovette Roofing to "schedule" someone to come out to fix the roof on Saturday - I figured at least 3 days notice should guarantee that I'd be on their list.
Well, Saturday morning at 10:00am I called Lovette Roofing, confirmed that we were still on for noon that day and Harry said we were, he'd see us around noon. Well, noon came and went - I called Harry Lovette back at 12:35pm; he answered, I asked what's going on and he said he was in route, I'd see him in about 20 minutes. I gave him until 3:00pm and just said screw it - I had things to do and I was not about to waste another day waiting on these idiots. Well, I knew that I wasn't really waiting for them to show - I was giving them the benefit of the doubt that they were trying to rip me off. I came to my senses and decided that it was time to take action against this weasel. My partner kept telling me that they weren't going to come that they were just saying that to get me off the phone - I wanted to believe that Harry Lovette would stand by his so-called (1) one year guarantee for all work completed, but I was wrong. Although, I am sure that he would show up on the 366th after the original repair date to collect some more money.
