I hired Durall to epoxy paint the floor of a basement office in my home. Their work was unacceptable. The floor was not properly prepared for coating and the paint was incorrectly mixed and never completely dried. During the removing of the previous coating, they sprayed solvent and glue all over the woodwork and 2 doors, necessitating replacement. The also damaged the carpeting in an adjoining room.
I sent a letter, several emails and phone calls to Durall and the owner, Harvey Chichester, expressing my dissatisfaction and they were ignored. I had to work with multiple contractors to correct Durall's work and my basement was unlivable for 6 months as this went on.
One year later, I took them to conciliation court and won the case with an award barely covering the costs of repairs.
After the judgment I left multiple phone calls, emails and sent a letter offering a 1 time discount of 10% on the damages if they paid prior to me proceeding with the collection process. These notices were ignored and I have initiated collection but am still unpaid.
