Ridiculous Return Policy, Terrible Customer Service

I purchased a pair of sparkly sandals at Aldo Shoes online to wear to a wedding I was in. I ordered them in my usual size, and when I received them, they were much too small. We do not have an Aldo in the city I live in, but I was going to be in the Milwaukee area, so I took them with me to the Mayfair Mall to exchange them for a larger size. They did not have any sandals in the size I thought I needed, so I did the exchange and had them shipped to my house. When I received this pair - they were ALSO too small. So I took them with me to the Appleton, WI location the following week to RETURN them. I brought the sandals in the original packaging, unworn, with the online order confirmation, shipping confirmation, and the credit card that I charged them on. The exchange receipt had accidentally been thrown out, but I thought I for sure had sufficient proof that I had purchased the sandals. I was very shortly told that I could not return them without an original receipt. No option at all. The only thing I could do was an exchange. The prices of most shoes in this store are completely outrageous, so I did not want to do an exchange. I took the shoes with me and emailed customer service online, asking what my options were. I received an automated email. Then nothing for a week. I emailed again. Another automated email, and then once again NOTHING for TWO WEEKS. I emailed again with harsher words, informing them I wanted a response NOW. A week later I receieved a message on my voicemail from a store manager apologizing for my problem, and telling me that I could for sure return the shoes. I called back, got his voicemail, thanked him for his call, and let him know that I did not live in a city with an Aldo, so I would be returning them by mail, and to let me know if that was a problem. I never got a call back. So, I just went online to print the shipping labels to return the shoes, and I got an error letting me know that "this order number does not qualify for a return". Are you F'ING KIDDING ME??? I have never ever dealt with a store this difficult to deal with. The customer service here is ridiculously poor, and I will never ever give them another dime of my money. Aldo needs to realize that there are a whole lot of shoe stores out there, and customers will not put up with this kind of treatment. I can guarantee them that everyone I know will know what a terrible store they are.
