I purchased a 2001 Ford F150 4x4 from Eric Hinojosa in July. I had some credit problems in the past and was skeptical of buy here pay here lots because of this exact thing happening to other people, but at the time I felt I didnt have a choice and was in dyer need of a vehicle so I had no time to be picky. I went to a few lots that said they could help and landed at Hinojosa auto sales and the sales man guaranteed the quality of his vehicles. Lol. So I put 1500.00 down on this truck and within 24 hours they called and said they were gonna need 500 more dollars down to be able to approve the deal of course this was after I was already in the vehicle so I gave them a post dated check dated for my next pay day. Within 2 months of delivery I had misfiring problems and had to replace 2 coils granted I hadnt even driven the truck for 1000 miles... Sure enough not even a month later I began experiencing the same problems and had the spark plugs replaced since I just replaced 2 of the coils I figured it needed a tune up but as expected it didnt take care of the problem so I took it to Meineke where I had to replace 2 coils. Wow what a surprise. Then they informed me that the truck had an intake leak which was causing the plugs and coils to foul out and had to be replaced and was gonna cost over 1000.00 to fix but of course further diagnostics needed to be done. At this point I was furious because I had the truck for over 5 months and have been paying monthly in which I am still paying and hadnt even driven the truck 1000 miles. So i took it back to Eric Hinojosa auto sales where they kept the vehicle for a week and told me nothing was wrong other than some suspension issues that of course they didnt bother to fix. But hey whatever right. So I assured him there is a problem and I will be back and he smiled and assured they will assist just bring it by when it acts up again. Well it acted up within a month (and another car payment later) so I took it back. Now the vehicle misfires violently and you cannot accellerate and its consistant when it happens and doesnt get better... Which is very dangerous especially driving on the highway! Now the car sat at Eric Hinojosa Auto sales for over a month (and another car payment later) and he said it wasnt acting up and nothing was wrong... YEAH RIGHT!!! My wife went to pick the truck up and was nearly killed by a semi on the highway so I called Eric Hinojosa Auto Sales and left several messages because of course he didnt take my calls and I didnt get any call backs either!!! The mileage had not moved much since the first time I dropped this truck off but the straw that broke the camels back was when I finally got a hold of Eric Hinojosa and he gave me some song and dance about his mechanic and he hopes that this mechanic isnt lying to him and blah blah blah. And said that they will have the truck towed to his shop and this will be taken care of. Well needless to say that was a week ago and still no tow truck not even a lousy phone call he just told me to leave the key in the gas tank and he will have it picked up! This guy doesnt care about his customers. We have not missed a single payment on this truck and have had it for almost a year. The miles are almost identical to the day we bought it and still no lousy help from this dealership that guaranteed quality. Who cares about the people that are trying! The truck is a road hazzard and extremely dangerous to drive and this guy doesnt seem to care because I'm sure he knows that I am stuck paying for a truck regardless of its condition or danger to the driver and other people on the road!!! Eric Hinojosa Auto Sales doesnt care for the consumer only their contracts. Car buyers beware!!!
