To keep this simple and short of the long story of many draining details. Logisticare isn't logical and don't care. In spite of a verbal solutions/ contract/ doctor's order/ case manager's writing to have trustworthy service, Logisticare without proper orientation scheduled unfamiliar drivers to pick up and deliver a child. If the parent refuse to put the child in the car with the stranger, Logisticare refuse to offer mileage reimbursement to the parent. Logisticare repeat response is their only responsibility is to make sure the "patient" get to their medical appointment and that is it! The parent "may" get a 10 minute notice before the pickup for a change of transportation company from the cab company. Logisticare won't do a notice at all!
There was an inciddent on an approximate 30 minute ride where child didn't arrive until 1 hour 45 minutes later! Logisticare claim it was traffic but it must took a long route. The driver was specifically asked upon departure if was going straight to the school! The driver responded "Yes". The school stated that the child was in ok condition upon arrival but is disrupt of day to a parent. Logisticare scheduled a common cab company to pick up my child from school by themselves on this same day after this incident. That day, I had to borrow gas money to pick up my child, I went to the school that day in signature with a cab company that had verbally requested (by agreement offer) timely before my child's school were to be in session. There were several incidents after this one even where I was arguing who brought my child home on the previous day by their claims that the cab company I signed had canceled! The contract, doctor's order and case manager's note or whatever, didn't make a difference. Those were not honored on a continuance basis and turned into a he said/ she said fiasco within 3 months. Basically, not offered mileage reimbursement as supposed cancellation of cab company but have these "unfamiliar strangers" call that they are picking yo your child. If you not send your child with these "unfamiliar strangers", Logisticare deny the mileage reimbursement for the whole day. Logisticare have not paid for the confirmed & demand they owe for the times they sent for a "improper stranger" to send for a stranger. Logisticare had enough time to offer mileage reimbursement. This is a safety concern when loosely giving out the patients address and where or what services is being received of their privacy. The mileage reimbursement figure Logisticare confirms is incorrect by the use of a car, foot, or bus!
