More Pyramid Scheme "Marketing"

Just as mentioned in the FP Marketing complaints in the above link, there was loud music in the waiting room, they mentioned the same buzzwords like "apps" and "Law of Averages". The offices and waiting room weren't very professional looking, and had the look of a porn company office with cheap furniture and wall hangings — not that I've visited a porn company, but that's how I'd imagine one to be! This isn't me being superficial either. Just as with people, workplaces offer important first impressions and this one did not give off a good vibe to me upon entering. That Shenna girl from FP was there too and, although quite hot, it's interesting that she keeps popping up at all of these shady companies. Research her online and you'll also find her mugshot from a DUI she got earlier this year. Party girl!

My interview was scheduled for 2:15 and I didn't even get called 30 minutes after that. The receptionist was calling people nonstop for interviews while I was there, and I could hear others behind closed doors doing the same. Either they are the busiest company in the world and needing a workforce the size of an army, or it's a scam.

Don't waste your time going on even the first interview at this place. They even told me the first interview is pretty much to see that you have a pulse and can communicate. Second interview is soon after and that's when you "shadow" someone for the day — in my case it was walking around neighborhoods all day and sweating my ass off while two guys tried selling ATT U-Verse to people door-to-door. I'm a firm believer that if people want a service they for the most part will do their own work to find out about it and sign up if they want. If people don't have the service and they have managed to live this long without it, chances are they don't need it! Of the 40 houses we tried I believe there were three people who signed up. Two were very nice and I felt guilty bugging them and the third was rude but softened up. It was 6PM on a Thursday and he was just home from work and didn't want to be bothered. Imagine that!

Bottom line: too good to be true. Don't bother. Odds are very good you won't make close to enough to survive (all commission for the first year), not to mention the strange atmosphere there. Trader Joe's and Starbucks offer benefits for even part timers. Apply there instead.
