I was contacted by Mr. Michael Freeman from Applefield Services concerning a personal loan. He said I was approved for a $20,000.00 loan but I would have to pay for the first three months up front. He faxed me the loan agreement to a company that I use to work for. I picked up the contract and then I signed it and faxed it back with the information that he requested.
Mr. Michael then informed me that I would have to western union $945.00. He instructed me to use the green form and I was to send the money to Shawn Parnin in Ajax, Ontario Canada. The number I was to use in the sender's information was 785-246-5329. He said to list it like a number but it was suppose to be my account number. I was to receive my money in twenty four hours via bank transfer. This all occurred on Friday, March 26. I called my bank this morning and there is no pending transfer. I called Mr. Michael back and he said he was looking into it and that I should call him back in thirty to forty-five minutes.
I did not become aware of the fact that there had been someone else that was scammed by this person/company until after 3pm on Saturday, March 27 when I saw Brian's report on usacomplaints.com
