Don Holiday of Atkins Assoc. & Investments, Inc answered newspaper advertisement, saying he was US representative of a investment fund in Japan.
They were sent a business plan requesting over $10,000, 000. Don Holiday sent a Business Consulting and Financial Services agreement stating that sumitomo-Mitsui Banking Corp, Growth Fund Partnership, Inc, Mr Ichiro Tanaka, Esq. Tokyo, Japan was to invest over $10,000, 000. The agreement was signed.
Don Holiday received $950 for processing the application.
Growth Fund Partnership, Inc received $1,000.
No funding was delivered, and the funds advanced were not returned as promised if they were not able to perform.
