First off this debt is 8 years old and occured while I was serving duty in the Unitewd States Marine Corps. While I was away I had my identity stolen. Their were credit cards in my name. Tickets given using my SSN and other utility services in my name. This particular debt was for a $1000 phone bill. I took this to court and filed police reports. ALL other debts were threw out. I was lead to believe when a different collection agency had this account this was threw out as well.
Over the years I have recieved correspondence from 3 different collection agencies all representing Assest Acceptance and I have sent over proof that this debt is not mine. Thinking the matter was resolved I relaxed. A couple of weeks ago. The new company CFC Finacial began garnishmnet of my wages for a total of $2800 for a phone bill? This debt increased 150%
This company is a scam artist and they twist the law to rip people off. They never contacted me concerning the garnishment and I never got notice to appear in court. Their claimw as that I couldnt be reached. Yet they found me to garnish my wages. Anyone interested in filing a suit please email me. I am definetly going through with it.
