Bought a puppy from Exotic French Bulldogs... Divya Carlin Singh, alias: Dee Carlin. Originally saw online and was deciding between two puppies. Hard to choose online, but put our deposit in and she s we had first choice. Someone else came to look at puppies and after they left, she said we had to decide but had first choice since our deposit was in first. Then 5 minutes later, sent a text telling me that the lady sent her a text and chose a puppy so now I had only one choice. The one she sold out from under me was the one we were going to pick. So, we took the other puppy. Paid $4, 000 for her. We only saw pics of her. Didn't know her weight or size, just that she was 8 weeks. old. She sent her on an hour long flight and my husband drove 3-1/2 hours to pick her up. She was coughing when he got her. We got her on a Sunday and on Monday I took her to the vet and she had pneumonia. She was very, very sick. I kept in contact with Dee through text and she would check on her. We drove 180 miles roundtrip every time we had to take her to vet hospital. She had to go numerous times a week and once was hospitalized for 2 nights with constant oxygen and meds. She could not breathe. We weren't even sure she was going to make it. For over 7 weeks I stayed up nights, sleeping on couch with her. Suctioning her out, giving her neubulizing treatments, on constant meds for 8 weeks. It was heartbreaking to watch and I was so drained and tired as I also have 4 kids. Dee sent me a text stating that she wanted to pay for vet bills and then offered us a free puppy for all of the heartache we went through. I thought that was so nice and understanding. Because it was a very long and trying 2 months and not what we envisioned when we bought a puppy. That's until I sent the vet bills. I only sent vet bills. Not gas, mileage, anything extra. I even took first xray off even though it was pneumonia related. She sent me back text saying look at her guarantee and that she is not paying, that she sent a healthy puppy and I should file a claim with the airline. What??? I said I had all of her texts. She said she would offer free puppy, but not anything else. And at the time she offered vet bills, it was at $500 and I didn't keep in contact. I kindly told her we never discussed money because I was waiting till the end when the puppy was healthy and well... PERIOD!! We have gone back and forth and she told me I would have to file paperwork in Riverside if we went to court. Well... I never signed a contract saying that, so I will be seeing attorney here. If I need to go there, then that's what I'll do. She also made excuses with me through texts as other people... she was sick, dealing with other things. And I know we all have busy lives. But I have texts stating she would pay for these things. We are being MORE than fair as we are out probably $1000 or MORE over what we asked of her with travel and medicine for this baby. ALSO... She never sent us AKC paperwork. I know these papers should have been sent along with puppy. I am so upset by all of this and have so much more I could state. I have texts, pictures and documentation. I will pursue for sure!!
